Dewey Digital Problem: 410 and 420

Hi Maryann: There may be a better way, but this is the workaround that I used. (unfortunately not mechanical enough for your protegee, but still). You appear to be 10 dewey digits out.

1. I put the book title in Amazon, which always offers similar books

2. I found that a similar book is Handbook of Research on Computer-Enhanced Language Acquisition and Learning (http://www.amazon.com/Handbook-Research-Computer-Enhanced-Language-Acquisition/dp/1599048957/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257917196&sr=1-5 )

3. I found THAT book's ISBN

4. I put that ISBN into the ISBN website and got http://isbndb.com/d/book/handbook_of_research_on_computer_enhanced_language_acquisiti.html

5. After the Summary there is a section called Classification which showed that this book belongs to "Applied Linguistics" i.e. 418.00285

By the way I came across http://dewey.info/class/41/2009/08/about.en and http://dewey.info/class/42/2009/08/about.en which shows the differences between the 410's and the 420's.
